About Me

Hello world!

I’m Jillian, a 30 year old, who loves to travel and experience everything the world has to offer. I wasn’t born a world traveler and until I was 20 the farthest I had ever gone was Mexico! But shortly after I graduated college, started my first full time job (and could afford it!), and had a significant other that shared my passion, I jumped on the plane and never looked back. For me travel has been fun, relaxing and a get away but many moments have also been stressful and aggravating (anyone else been lost in Beijing with no google & no one speaks English!?). But you take the good with the bad and these experiences have taught me so much about the world, myself, and how grateful I am for the life I live. With our crazy schedules, it’s hard to save, plan and coordinate travel for many so in order to share my passion I’ve created this blog to help anyone looking for advice, tips and tricks, or just answers to “stupid” questions you are afraid to ask (believe me I’ve asked them all!).
So, what’s different about me & my blog – well, I’m just a normal girl traveling the world and trying to experience as much as I can during this wonderful life. I mix luxury with not-so-luxury traveling and I’m honest – what’s great, what’s not, where to go & places that are a waste of money. Hopefully I can save you hours of research all in one site or you can simply come along as I travel to some of the most exciting places in the world and see it all through my eyes! ✈️✌?? I am also a huge foodie, animal lover, car junkie, current Chicagoan and former Houstonian. I love taking pictures everywhere I go and all my amazing blog photos are taken with my IPhone7. I received a Bachelors in Business Administration and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and I’m a Certified Public Accountant. I married the love of my life and my favorite travel companion in late 2016. Thank you for visiting Life by Jillian!
